My name is Darren Venables and I have been a professional gardener since 1987.  I studied Horticulture, Greenkeeping and Decorative Horticulture at Sparsholt College before starting work on a 135 acre Estate in Hampshire in 1989 where I still work today. I have worked as a Gardener, Head Gardener and now Estate Manager and I love the job I do very much, as well as working with my amazing team of gardeners.  As well as my Estate Managers role I also carry out freelance work of my own,  advising clients on how to improve or completely redesign their gardens or sometimes just advise on how to look after them.    In addition I  also help larger gardens and Estates offering advice and ideas for long and short term improvements, maintenance and projects.
